About Sean Lynch Sean Lynch is a poet from New Jersey, born in 1992.
He received the Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award in 2009 for his essays on social justice.
Sean Lynch has read his poetry throughout Philadelphia and Camden, most notably at 17th Annual Poetry Ink, although he usually reads at bars, cafes, pizza parlors, and parks.
Lynch began writing poetry in 2002; his earliest poetic influences were William Carlos Williams and Walt Whitman.
Lamont B. Steptoe has described Sean Lynch’s writing as “observant and compassionate."
