Arrogance, Appreciation

the thoughts of

another dead man

linger for too long

I enter the

empty house

with a sigh

of relief

I pretend to

be abrasive

and unlovable

by mere accident

I’m just slipping

deeper into quicksand

my thoughts

jump while

offering no resistance

don’t care, yes worry,

another piece of shit

directs toward me

a simple question,

answers are for the weak

  1. sounds like someone had a complicated relationship with the deceased…i think. poetry is not my forte.

There are no answers, only questions. A never ending litany if you ask me, baby.

    As always, stellar poem.

Hope you had a great day! 💋
