My scars became more pronounced

defiance of authority is now a fascination with convention

rejecting science and religion

Hedonism is as passing as a cycle of our star

myths become facts because society is

fond of the grotesque

the humpback loves the damsel,

exotic is taken for granted

mystique in everyday life

leading to an appreciation

for the voracious sea

  1. I like that line about society loving the grotesque. It descibes some people I know very well.

    Hey. Hi. I’ve been indisposed…

I could not possibly dig your poetry any more than I do.

Hope you had a great day! 💋

  3. Zen Greenway says:

Wow. The whole thing is good but the last two lines floored me.
