Illuminated Leaves Conjure Memories

Earlier today you wanted to touch

the light on the trees and realized

that some shades of green aren’t even physical.

You didn’t think of the unbearable

because you were in movement,

recalling an old man named Sunny

who advised against idleness.

Wow. I am deeply honored by you following my blog. Please excuse The Mirror poem, I really should revise/rewrite! I’m much older than you but, like you, my earliest inspirations definitely include Walt Whitman & William Carlos Williams (I like all these “w’s”; reminds me of woman & wise & Wicca). Your work presents an exquisite inter-weaving of intellect and the spirit of pure poetry. Well done!
